Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Remote across Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain; requires travel approximately 50–60% of the time for 5-day on-site enterprise deployments, primarily across Europe.

What you will do

• Lead focused enterprise deployment engagements and deliver production workflows within defined time frames.
• Design and build workflows, integrations, custom nodes, and API-based solutions for complex customer environments.
• Translate ambiguous business and operational problems into practical, scalable automation designs.
• Work with customers, Deployment Strategists, Product, and Engineering to align technical execution with adoption goals.
• Identify reusable product improvements and document workflows, implementation learnings, and integration patterns in internal playbooks.
• Build solutions that customers can operate independently while avoiding unnecessary complexity.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack or backend engineering background with production experience building integrations, APIs, or automation pipelines.
• Experience creating custom nodes or extending integrations, including APIs, authentication patterns, data models, and event-driven systems.
• Ability to distinguish customer-specific workarounds from reusable node improvements and product features.
• Confidence working directly with engineers, operators, and non-technical stakeholders in customer environments.
• Strong solution design and technical judgment, with the ability to simplify solutions and push back when appropriate.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–60% of the time for on-site engagements, primarily across Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global or similar workflow automation tools.
• Enterprise deployment, forward deployed, solutions engineering, or product-led technical organization experience.
• Experience building custom nodes, connectors, plugins, SDKs, or reusable integration frameworks.
• Experience turning customer learnings into product feedback, roadmap input, or engineering specifications.
