Senior Backend & AI Engineer (Python)

Location: Remote from Poland, Belarus, or Georgia

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Python backend services.
• Architect AI agents and stateful LLM conversational flows with session context and long-term memory extraction.
• Build interaction-evaluation logic and structured data pipelines for real-time session histories, transcriptions, and analytics.
• Own backend architecture, API, and microservices decisions while evaluating tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and front-end engineers to deliver product features.
• Resolve architectural bottlenecks and establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, orchestrating complex LLM workflows, and deploying RAG pipelines.
• Experience with AI orchestration and memory-management frameworks such as LangGraph or LangMem.
• Experience with vector search engines such as Qdrant for high-performance data retrieval and artifact management.
• Experience optimizing latency for LLM streaming and database queries.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience with ORMs.
• Experience in early-stage startups or building systems from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, independent research, problem-solving, autonomy, disciplined workflows, and respect for established engineering processes.
• Result-oriented, hardworking, ambitious, and proactive approach.
• Strong English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, NestJS, or React, with willingness to contribute across the stack when necessary.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Docker containerization.
• Experience with message brokers such as NATS for microservices communication.
• Experience optimizing performance in high-load or data-intensive systems.
• Expertise with subscription-based or B2B/B2C SaaS.
