Systems Engineer I (Data Center)

Location: Mount Prospect, Illinois

Salary: $24 - $27/Hr

What you will do

• Perform physical installation, relocation, and removal of data center equipment, including servers, network switches, storage systems, and racks
• Install, label, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling
• Travel to company data centers and colocation facilities as required
• Support 24x7x365 operations, including various shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Maintain safety procedures while working on ladders and in raised floor or overhead cable environments

Requirements

• Technical data center experience, including server and data cabling installation
• Ability to work third-shift hours (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to travel up to 15% as required
• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills

Nice to have

• Electrical or low-voltage wiring experience
• Experience in technical trades
