Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

hirify.global (Apium Swarm Robotics) develops swarm autonomy software and hardware for unmanned vehicles operating in commercial and defense environments.

What you will do

• Assemble and integrate mechanical and electrical sub-systems according to drawings and IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 standards.
• Execute functional and acceptance test procedures for drones and ground control stations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Fabricate and maintain jigs, fixtures, and test stands.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and prototype builds, providing feedback to design and process engineering.
• Maintain build records and traceability in compliance with AS9100 and NDAA requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• 5-7 years of experience in an aerospace or similar production environment.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and familiarity with GD&T.
• Proficiency with soldering, rework, and hand/power tools.
• Experience with electronics troubleshooting using standard measurement equipment.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required due to ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Nice to have

• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.
• Familiarity with unmanned systems: flight controllers, ESCs, RF/comms links, GNSS.
• U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
