Product Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop detailed production assembly and test instructions, including formal Work Instructions and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Evaluate and implement manufacturing equipment, assembly fixtures, tools, and production flow-line systems.
• Ensure product integrity and quality by collaborating to resolve production issues and performing Material Review Board analyses.
• Track critical performance metrics, including first pass yield and product cost goals.
• Facilitate design changes by redlining drawings and managing the Engineering Order (EO) process.
• Travel 5-10% to visit customers and suppliers as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Buffalo, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace or other heavily regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience interacting with manufacturing shop floor employees.
• Knowledge of LEAN, Root Cause / Corrective Action, Project Planning, and Data Acquisition.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
