What you will do

• Develop and implement supplier quality standards specific to aerospace propulsion systems.
• Conduct on-site audits and assessments to ensure compliance with AS9100 and Nadcap standards.
• Establish quality agreements and monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as defect rates and on-time delivery.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
• Oversee qualification of propulsion components and validate first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with design requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or propulsion.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards including AS9100, Nadcap, and AS9102.
• Proficiency in quality tools: root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and GD&T.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with special processes like heat treatment, welding, and coatings.
• Quality management certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
• Proficiency in quality management software and ERP systems such as SAP or Minitab.
