Quality Control Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, CA. Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence due to ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Salary: $110k – $137k, plus annual equity package and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead all Quality Control operations, including receiving, in-process, and end-of-line inspections for UAV systems.
• Provide quality oversight during Flight Operations, including maiden flights and operational readiness verification.
• Own and manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process and control nonconforming products per AS9100.
• Manage the calibration program for inspection and test equipment to ensure traceability to recognized standards.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training programs for product verification and MRB processing.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain teams to interpret drawings and ensure appropriate inspection coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in quality roles, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (required for ITAR/EAR access).
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, ITAR, and FAA compliance.
• Proficiency in RCFA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, and DMAIC.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 certification.
• Experience in the drone, aerospace, or defense industries.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma, CQE, or Lean Manufacturing.
• Prior work with government contracts or DoD programs.
