Layout System Integration BIM Engineer

Location: Coventry / Whitley, United Kingdom

Salary: £28.43 per hour

What you will do

• Lead and support Layout System Integration and BIM-enabled facility integration from concept through project completion.
• Coordinate federated models, design reviews, clash detection, layout development, and L1-L5 integration reviews.
• Implement BIM standards, Common Data Environment processes, digital asset management, and digital twin information management.
• Develop 4D simulation models and digital rehearsals for installation planning, logistics reviews, stakeholder engagement, and programme delivery.
• Perform reality capture and Scan-to-BIM activities, including LiDAR scanning, point cloud processing, model validation, and as-built verification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary manufacturing, construction, services, civil, digital estate, and health and safety teams.

Requirements

• Experience with BIM, CAD, and digital engineering toolsets for facility and manufacturing design.
• Experience with 3D models, design coordination, federated model reviews, and layout development in project environments.
• Understanding of BIM methodologies, model information requirements, CDE principles, digital engineering workflows, and revision-controlled environments.
• Experience supporting projects against programme timing, quality, and cost targets, including production process flow analysis and technical problem solving.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary activities and communicating technical information to varied stakeholders.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, production, or other fast-paced technical environments, with knowledge of Lean tools and techniques.

Nice to have

• Automotive manufacturing, facility design, construction, manufacturing engineering, or capital project delivery experience.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Verity, Inventor, PDM systems, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with Scan-to-BIM, reality capture, LiDAR, point cloud modelling, 4D simulations, digital rehearsals, or installation sequencing.
• Knowledge of digital twins, BIM maturity levels, ISO 19650, information management requirements, and RIBA stages.
• Experience with data analytics, automation, AI-assisted or generative engineering workflows.
