Production Team Leader (Biotechnology)

Location: Geleen, Netherlands; primarily site-based with remote work permitted for no more than 20% of the time. The role operates on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.

Annual base pay: €50,250–€70,350.

What you will do

• Lead and develop approximately 15 Biotech Associates across rotating shifts.
• Partner with the Production Manager and another Production Team Lead to maintain continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Ensure timely completion of manufacturing documentation, investigations, and batch closure activities.
• Promote GMP compliance, safety, quality, and adherence to company procedures.
• Coach team members, strengthen accountability, and support professional development.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Manufacturing Compliance to resolve issues and implement continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GMP manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Strong planning, prioritization, decision-making, communication, and coaching skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with investigations, deviations, CAPAs, or manufacturing documentation is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule and lead teams across all shift patterns.
