Staff Project Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Leiden and Sassenheim, Netherlands

Salary: €64,000–€103,040 annual base pay; an additional Netherlands range of €82,900–€125,400 is listed.

What you will do

• Lead complex engineering projects as a core team member and coordinate the full engineering scope across disciplines.
• Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, modification, and closure.
• Develop and review technical specifications, reports, proposals, presentations, drawings, and calculations.
• Translate project scope into request-for-quotation packages and oversee external engineering firms, site contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Apply GXP requirements, including change control, and participate in Management of Change activities.
• Verify designs against Dutch, European, and Janssen Biologics standards while managing project progress and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Life Sciences.
• 7–9 years of experience in a multidisciplinary environment and experience managing complex cross-disciplinary projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, and relevant engineering tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills.
• VCA-VOL qualification diploma required.
• Working knowledge of EudraLex Annex 1 application required.

Nice to have

• Experience with coaching, CAPA, feasibility studies, lean supply chain management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, supply planning, and scientific research.
