Manufacturing Operator (Biopharma)

Location: Sassenheim, Netherlands. Onsite manufacturing role with flexible shift work, including 13/7 USP and DSP rosters and a 16/7 Fill & Finish roster.

Base pay: €35,000–€53,360 annually, plus applicable shift allowances and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Support the installation, setup, and operation of manufacturing equipment across USP, DSP, and Fill & Finish departments.
• Execute cell expansion, virus production, purification, automated filling, freezing, and product storage activities.
• Perform GMP process documentation, sample handling, deviation reporting, and process-gap identification.
• Prepare job breakdown sheets, work instructions, and training materials, and train other operators.
• Contribute to continuous improvement while working safely under GMP, EHS, quality, and BSL2 requirements.

Requirements

• MBO 4 or HBO education in laboratory technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology, or equivalent experience in biotech or biopharma manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in a BSL2 environment involving cell culture, virus propagation, purification, or Fill & Finish.
• Strong English communication skills, analytical ability, accuracy, and independence.
• Adaptability, proactive collaboration, and readiness to work flexible shifts.
• Experience with GMP and EHS standards and regulated manufacturing documentation.
