Manufacturing Supervisor (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands; onsite, full-time role operating on a 16/7 shift roster

Base pay: €53,500–€85,445 per year, plus an annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and deliver production targets to the required quality and performance standards.
• Coach, develop, and manage a small operations team, aligning staffing and training with business needs.
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace through SOPs, GMP requirements, company policies, and the Code of Business Conduct.
• Drive continuous improvement and a LEAN mindset through root-cause problem solving and practical process optimization.
• Validate standardized work through Gemba walks, spot checks, documentation, and visual controls.
• Identify operational risks, escalate issues, and complete administrative tasks supporting accurate and timely outcomes.

Requirements

• MBO-4 qualification with HBO-assessed thinking level, plus relevant experience: 5 years with a relevant degree, 7 years with a non-relevant degree, or 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Dutch at A2 level and English at B2 level are required.
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency and entry-level data analysis skills.
• Positive, calm, and composed leadership style with the ability to influence morale and productivity.
• Demonstrated change leadership and willingness to work the 16/7 shift roster.

Nice to have

• Experience with agile manufacturing, analytics dashboards, CMC, gap analysis, operational excellence, plant operations, or project management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, data compilation, technical credibility, and developing others.
