Location: Halifax, United Kingdom, with hybrid attendance required at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site. Working hours cover Monday to Friday, 8:00–18:00, and Saturday, 9:00–13:00.
Salary: £30,201–£31,790.

What you will do
- Own and investigate complex potentially fraudulent general insurance claims, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence.
- Analyse complex, high-volume, and contradictory information to reach well-supported claim decisions.
- Collaborate with field-based colleagues, suppliers, senior investigators, technical oversight teams, FNOL managers, and industry partners.
- Explain investigation outcomes and consequences clearly to customers.
- Manage customer-focused complaints in line with the general insurance claims complaints process.
- Provide feedback, coaching, training, management information, and insights to improve fraud knowledge and investigation quality.
Requirements
- Experience or strong capability in general insurance fraud investigations and complex claims assessment.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interviewing, evidence-gathering, and customer outcome communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, personal organisation, planning, time management, file management, and complaints management.
- Good working knowledge of home insurance principles and relevant fraud and insurance regulations.
- Ability to solve complex problems, prioritise work, deliver results, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to complete the ACF Tech qualification; completion of the CII Certificate is encouraged.
