Director, Payables Global Process Owner

Location: Hybrid position based in the Austin, Texas office; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $169,600–$271,400 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Oversee the global Accounts Payable function across five regional centers and manage regional Payables leads.
• Enforce controls and improve operational metrics, including invoice automation, paid-on-time performance, purchase order utilization, turnaround time, and processing accuracy.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, business units, and the Payables Center of Excellence to enhance processes, systems, and tools.
• Analyze global operating metrics, identify bottlenecks and root causes, and implement process improvements and solutions for escalations.
• Lead automation, standardization, risk management, AI integration, and Lean Six Sigma initiatives across Controllership activities.
• Act as the primary liaison for internal audit and SOX testing while developing succession plans and improving team performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Experience managing global payables organizations, global payables ledgers, ERP systems, and accounting segments.
• Experience managing finance teams in commercial multinational environments and handling foreign-currency transactions.
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials, SAP Ariba, Concur, Microsoft Office, and payables process tools.
• Experience with internal and external audits, controls, process improvement, and Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to work from the Austin office at least 3 days per week and collaborate across international and cross-functional teams.
