Director, Finance - Business Analysis & Control & FP&A Transformation

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Salary: $159,000–$210,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead FP&A financial business analysis, performance management, and finance transformation activities.
• Analyze financial performance, risks, trends, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.
• Lead process engineering initiatives for financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and performance management.
• Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Capital Management, Investments, Technology, Data, and Operations teams to implement transformation solutions.
• Design and govern finance data solutions, including AWS data lake environments, integrated reporting architectures, and scalable financial data models.
• Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, management reports, and self-service analytics using Power BI and other visualization tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of accounting or finance experience, including eight years of management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the assigned business area, such as investments, premiums, or corporate finance.
• Strong leadership, people management, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial business systems.
• Ability to work in the required hybrid arrangement in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Nice to have

• Experience leading Finance process engineering, business transformation, or large-scale process improvement in a complex financial services environment.
• Experience implementing cloud-based finance data, planning, reporting, or analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of data management, data governance, reporting automation, business intelligence, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management.
• Experience translating finance requirements into scalable data, reporting, and analytics solutions with technology teams.
