Manager, AP (Accounts Payable)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States. The position requires access to export-controlled information and applicants must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $115,000–$153,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead daily Accounts Payable operations across direct spend, including invoice processing, 2- and 3-way matching, exception management, disbursements, vendor inquiries, and close activities.
• Support the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process and act as an escalation point for complex payment holds and operational blockers.
• Standardize processes and improve cycle time, first-pass yield, on-time payments, purchase order discipline, and receiving practices.
• Maintain internal controls, segregation of duties, SOX compliance, audit support, and remediation activities.
• Design and improve ERP and AP workflows involving OCR, approvals, and system integrations.
• Partner with Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Finance, Accounting, and BPO/offshore providers using defined SLAs and KPIs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience, including 3+ years leading teams in a shared-services, GBS, or corporate accounting environment.
• Strong direct-spend experience, including inventory, 3-way matching, and GRIR processes.
• End-to-end Procure-to-Pay experience and a strong SOX controls mindset.
• Experience with high-volume invoice processing, payment batch runs, banking functions, AP accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Coupa and advanced Excel skills.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements to access controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Global Business Services or Shared Services model.
• Exposure to AP automation, workflow tools, or process transformation.
• Experience supporting a publicly traded or pre-IPO company.
• Familiarity with sales and use tax, VAT, or international vendor payments.
