Director of Product (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere, with working hours between GMT and ET and flexibility for occasional early or late calls

hirify.global is an AI startup developing an open-source, AI-native vector database and related cloud and agent products for developers and enterprises.

What you will do

• Own product strategy and decision-making across the hirify.global Database, hirify.global Cloud, and agent products.
• Run ongoing customer discovery, renewal, and support conversations with enterprise accounts.
• Translate enterprise requirements into clear specifications, connect roadmap items to expected business impact, and maintain a prioritized roadmap.
• Assess the criticality and broader pattern of customer requests while managing expectations across sales, leadership, and customers.
• Partner with technical leads on feasibility, sequencing, dependencies, technical debt, and the cost of changes in direction.
• Establish product planning and execution practices, hire and develop PMs, and partner with go-to-market and marketing teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including recent hands-on individual-contributor work and direct ownership of a roadmap.
• Experience working with enterprise customers on discovery, requirements gathering, and expectation management.
• Demonstrated ability to quantify business impact and defend prioritization decisions with stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a technically deep domain such as databases, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or developer tools.
• Experience running product processes in Linear or a comparable tool, with strong written communication skills.
• Some people-management experience or clear readiness to manage a team of one to three PMs.

Nice to have

• Experience at a developer-tools or open-source company.
• Familiarity with vector search, embeddings, RAG, or agent workflows.
• Experience serving enterprise customers alongside a self-serve motion.
• Experience with a product that combines an open-source project and a commercial cloud offering.
