Director, Cross Border Acceptance and Strategy (Fintech)

Location: US - San Francisco, CA; at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $192,300–$307,600 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Lead workstreams for global cross-border acceptance and acquiring strategy, including measurement systems, processing solutions, pricing, rules, compliance, risk, legal engagement, and communications.
• Develop, pilot, and scale new cross-border capabilities with network processing, value-added services, and treasury teams.
• Represent the cross-border function throughout solution development and ensure strategic alignment and on-schedule delivery.
• Improve existing acquiring programs, launch enhancements, develop client-facing content, and train internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams, executives, clients, legal, government engagement, treasury, risk, and market stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 5–10% of the time and work in an office setting.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 8 years with an Advanced Degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 12+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree, 8–10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Experience in a strategic role within management consulting or a global organization, focused on cross-border initiatives or corporate strategy.
• Strong understanding of international markets, the global payments ecosystem, and innovation trends in cross-border payments.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Ability to drive global initiatives, implement new strategies, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
