Sr. Director, PDLC Governance (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York City; positions in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York follow a hybrid work model. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $226,000–$282,000 USD per year in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA; $188,000–$235,000 USD per year in Phoenix, AZ or Chicago, IL. Additional discretionary incentive plan and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise PDLC vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, and prioritized backlog.
• Maintain PDLC standards, procedures, operating models, governance forums, stage gates, controls, and evidence requirements.
• Establish and monitor OKRs, KPIs, lifecycle health measures, control effectiveness, risks, issues, and remediation activity.
• Lead executive communications, escalations, lifecycle interpretation, stage-gate decisions, exceptions, and deviations.
• Lead cross-functional change and drive adoption of scalable PDLC practices across multiple lines of business.
• Partner with Product, Technology, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and executive stakeholders to improve lifecycle capabilities and regulatory readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Approximately 15 years of experience in project or program management, product governance, enterprise transformation, or related leadership.
• Leadership experience managing teams and complex enterprise-wide or cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated department- and project-level P&L experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of PDLC and SDLC frameworks, lifecycle governance, enterprise operating models, risk controls, evidence requirements, remediation, and audit readiness.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Background and drug screening are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, enterprise workflow, project management, collaboration platforms, and governance automation.
• Financial services or financial technology experience.
• Agile or Waterfall methodology experience.
• Experience leading large-scale PDLC or SDLC transformation, migration, modernization, or governance improvement.
• Experience working across Product and Technology organizations in a regulated environment.
