Director - Product Owner, BI Payments and Billing Transformation (Fintech)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Lead product ownership and delivery for the Payments and Billing Transformation program.
• Define, prioritize, and maintain execution-ready backlogs across billing, analytics, and platform value streams.
• Coordinate engineers, architects, business analysts, delivery leads, managed service teams, and enterprise partners across multiple agile teams.
• Develop workstream delivery plans, sequence milestones, manage dependencies, and address risks, assumptions, and constraints.
• Facilitate financial, controls, business rules, requirements, and decision-making discussions across organizational boundaries.
• Lead the product organization’s AI and emerging technology agenda, including evaluation frameworks and adoption of AI-assisted product tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least three years of experience in a related field and three years of experience motivating or influencing teams.
• At least two years of Agile product management experience; three or more years translating business strategy and product vision into delivery-ready execution is preferred.
• Strong Agile practice, planning, roadmap management, dependency management, executive communication, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Experience with billing, payments, data engineering, or financial systems, particularly in commercial insurance or financial services, is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and pilot AI-assisted tools and practices in product delivery is required.
