Product Owner (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Owner (Fintech): Owning a currency management automation product variant and supporting the growth of another with an accent on product discovery, customer insight, backlog prioritization, and outcome-based planning. Focus on designing structured PRDs, validating hypotheses with CFOs and Treasurers, coordinating Scrum delivery, and defining OKRs for complex FX management solutions.

Location: Barcelona office, hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Run client discovery, validate hypotheses, and gather market insights.
• Own and prioritize an insight-driven product backlog.
• Write structured PRDs and make product decisions.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with engineering and data.
• Define and track OKRs focused on product outcomes.
• Document releases, train internal teams, and communicate product updates.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of product experience with practical end-to-end product development lifecycle experience.
• Background in treasury or corporate finance and the ability to understand CFO and Treasurer needs.
• Experience with product discovery, PRDs, and structured product delivery.
• Scrum certification or equivalent hands-on agile experience.
• Autonomous, accountable, structured, outcome-oriented, and a strong written and verbal communicator.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate to Barcelona.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or financial services.
• Degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
• CFA or similar qualification.
