Software Engineer - Cloud Volumes

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid work with in-office and/or in-person expectations

Salary: USD 113,050–168,300 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, and maintain workflows for enterprise cloud application software.
• Debug code, configuration issues, and software defects.
• Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.
• Optimize application code, database queries, and server configurations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, Site Reliability Engineering, and database administration teams throughout development.
• Document functionality, design decisions, development work, and testing strategies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with Go and Python.
• Experience developing REST, JSON, and XML APIs.
• Experience programming on Linux and working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases, preferably Redis.
• Understanding of computer architecture, data structures, standard programming practices, and microservice architecture.
• Good written, oral, and general communication skills; a relevant bachelor’s degree is required.
