Experienced Software Engineer (Platform)

Location: New York City, NY; on-site. Applicants in the United States must be authorized to work in the United States. Applicants in the United Kingdom must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary: $135K–$280K base pay, varying by location, knowledge, skills, and experience; stock options and benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the core infrastructure powering hirify.global’s products at enterprise scale.
• Develop integrations and connectors that ingest data from CRMs, ticketing systems, knowledge bases, communication platforms, and AI model providers.
• Build modern data foundations that transform raw product and integration data into reliable datasets for metrics, reporting, analytics, and product experiences.
• Design systems supporting both low-latency operational workflows and large-scale analytical workloads.
• Improve container orchestration, observability, security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate across functions and help define abstractions, system boundaries, and tradeoffs that enable product and business impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience involving backend, platform, or infrastructure systems.
• Interest in foundational problems spanning infrastructure, data platforms, and integrations.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and determine appropriate abstractions, system boundaries, and tradeoffs.
• Strong focus on reliability, maintainability, performance, and building systems that empower other engineers.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and understand how platform work supports product and business impact.
• Familiarity with one or more parts of the stack: AWS; Kubernetes and Karpenter; Postgres and PgBouncer; Snowflake; Redis; Go; Python.
