Backend Engineer (Python/Go)

Annual pay range: $125,000–$160,000 USD

What you will do

• Build scalable distributed systems serving hundreds of thousands of connected devices worldwide.
• Develop backend services for gateways, mobile security units, and environmental sensors.
• Design low-latency, high-throughput, highly reliable microservice architectures.
• Work with Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres, Kafka, and SQS for storage, logging, and messaging.
• Deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Design clean APIs and develop features incorporating computer vision using Python and/or Go.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of backend engineering experience in a production environment.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience developing and launching products.
• Working knowledge of Python and/or Go.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and agile software development.
• Employment visa sponsorship is available, including taking over existing sponsorship.
