Senior Technology Consultant (Discrete Event Simulation)

Location: Kraków, Poland; customer engagements primarily cover the EMEA region and may extend globally.

What you will do

• Lead FlexSim discrete event simulation consulting engagements from discovery through implementation.
• Design, develop, validate, and present simulation models to analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
• Guide project approaches, technical delivery, customer communication, and support escalations as a subject matter expert.
• Translate customer challenges into scalable solutions while collaborating with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Product Management, Software Development, and Customer Success.
• Support pre-sales through technical demonstrations, solution design, and engagement scoping.
• Develop reusable methodologies, deliver training and workshops, mentor colleagues, and provide product feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in discrete event simulation, process improvement, or a related domain, including building and analyzing simulation models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or another object-oriented language.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, process flows, and facility operations.
• Strong analytical, abstraction, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• English proficiency at a professional level is required for written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global FlexSim, digital twins, smart factories, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial engineering.
• Experience with AI, reinforcement learning, or machine learning tools.
• Knowledge of CAD tools, data integration, SQL, or analytics workflows.
• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience leading consulting workstreams, owning technical delivery, or working with shared-service organizations.
