Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain predictive, prescriptive, and statistical models for originations, collections, risk, pricing, fraud, customer experience, and marketing.
• Conduct research, data analysis, forecasting, optimization, data mining, and advanced statistical and machine learning studies.
• Develop algorithms and models for business metrics, operational improvement, and decision support.
• Lead research projects from study design and data collection through analysis, recommendations, and delivery of business impact.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal clients, business leadership, and senior management.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Data Scientists I and II while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar quantitative field.
• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field; equivalent education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
• Advanced skills in Python, SAS, SQL, R, JMP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced knowledge of regression, sampling, time series, survival analysis, clustering, decision trees, multivariate methods, non-parametric techniques, principal components, and linear programming.
• Experience with large datasets, data warehouses, model documentation, and monitoring protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, collaboration, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to senior management.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot in daily workflows.
• Experience evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows and familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
• Understanding of responsible AI, ethics, and data protection.
