Senior Data Scientist, AI Solutions Engineering - Client Services

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $133,300–$213,400 USD per year. The position may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Deliver small- to large-scale data engineering initiatives independently or within cross-functional project teams.
• Design and maintain scalable data models, schemas, semantic layers, certified datasets, and data enrichment pipelines.
• Develop advanced machine learning, deep learning, recommendation, and generative models for business problems.
• Build data pipelines with Python, SQL, Spark, Airflow, dbt, cloud-native data services, and distributed processing technologies.
• Support cloud data platforms across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including storage, compute, orchestration, monitoring, and security.
• Translate analytics into actionable recommendations, communicate complex findings, and provide technical direction to data science teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale datasets, scalable models, data science, data engineering, or analytics.
• Experience with Python, SQL, distributed systems, Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, cloud data warehouses, or distributed query engines.
• Experience creating reproducible analytic pipelines and communicating technical concepts to business audiences.
• Experience managing data science projects from scoping through delivery and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work from the Austin office at least 3 days per week and travel 5–10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience in financial services or the payments industry.
• Experience working in global organizations with stakeholders across geographies.
