Director, UX Design - AEC Forma Design

Location: Oslo, Norway; 25% minimum travel to Oslo, Norway

What you will do

• Lead the design vision and evaluate design approaches for the Forma Design portfolio, balancing implementation cost and customer value.
• Partner with product management, engineering, and other design disciplines to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences.
• Coach, mentor, and provide career stewardship for UX professionals, including interaction designers.
• Use data and customer insight to guide priorities, personalization, and agentic experiences.
• Build high-performing teams for large cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives while managing stakeholders, risk, and uncertainty.
• Advocate for design direction, foster collaboration and belonging, and track emerging technologies and trends.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience across a variety of UX disciplines.
• 5+ years of global people management experience.
• Strong design thinking skills and the ability to distill highly complex ideas into concise, impactful outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams toward strategic objectives, developing skills, and structuring and hiring for future success.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, partner cross-functionally, and champion design direction aligned with strategic goals.
• Experience creating and delivering UX team strategies that affect product or platform deliverables and customer outcomes.
