What you will do
- Act as the technical bridge between engineering, product, and external partner teams to align grid-model data requirements.
- Support Product Management with domain expertise, model-ingestion user journeys, and functional requirements.
- Process and convert industry grid models into Common Information Model format using internal ingestion tools.
- Validate model quality, geolocation, electrical simulability, and compliance with use-case requirements.
- Stage validated grid models for testing and production applications.
- Lead user acceptance testing, coordinate end-user validation, and provide final engineering sign-off.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems modeling and analysis.
- Deep understanding of power system topologies and hands-on experience with the Common Information Model standard and data conversion.
- Knowledge of power flow, short-circuit analysis, transient stability, and economic dispatch.
- Experience with power system analysis software, physical grid GIS data, and operational datasets.
- Programming experience with Matlab, Python, JAX, C++, Julia, or similar languages, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with open-source power systems tools, libraries, or data repositories.
- Experience delivering scalable solutions to complex software problems.
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
