What you will do

• Develop and maintain the backend stack including SvelteKit, Python services, and a data layer using Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.
• Build durable execution systems, state machines, and retry semantics for complex, long-running ML inference jobs.
• Design and implement a clean, well-documented public API surface using OpenAPI and Zod schemas.
• Develop enterprise-grade features such as ACLs, audit logs, and entitlement systems.
• Own the entire lifecycle of production systems, including design, monitoring, metrics, and incident response.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience owning real production systems end-to-end.
• Strong ability to architect scalable systems and comfort working across the full backend stack.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Must work full-time and in-person at the waterfront office in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU infrastructure or running Kubernetes in production.
• A background in creative arts or experience building tools for creatives.
