Software Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the San Francisco, New York City, or London office hubs

Writer develops an end-to-end enterprise generative AI platform for building and deploying AI agents grounded in company data.

What you will do

• Design and develop secure, scalable generative AI services and applications using Python and modern frameworks.
• Build and optimize low-latency APIs and microservices integrating AI models and agentic workflows.
• Own system design and architecture for core platform components from proposal through production deployment.
• Implement responsive interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional partners.
• Build continuous deployment, logging, and monitoring systems for distributed workloads.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong production Python development.
• Experience building and deploying generative AI applications with LLMs, vector databases, and agentic frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of FastAPI, Asyncio, PostgreSQL, and AI developer tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with enterprise architecture and security technologies including IAM, SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, or RBAC.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, mentor engineers, solve complex technical problems, and own delivery through production.
