Salary: $254,000 - $381,000 total target cash

What you will do

• Set the direction and roadmap for data import and export, managing priorities and tradeoffs for stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of approximately 10 engineers, focusing on hiring and career development.
• Collaborate with tech leads on architecture for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Own reliability, SLOs, and cost efficiency for critical data pipelines that customers depend on daily.
• Expand the set of supported destinations and sources while improving integration efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Design, and other Data Platform teams to ship end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA (San Francisco, CA for hybrid setup)
• 2+ years of experience leading engineers as a manager or tech lead.
• 6+ years of experience building backend, data, or infrastructure systems.
• Proven experience with data integration (ETL/ELT), data warehouses, or streaming at scale.
• Proficiency with modern cloud infrastructure: Kubernetes, Kafka, S3, and Terraform.
• Track record of improving reliability, latency, or cost for production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Experience with durable workflow engines such as Temporal.
• Experience with advertising or marketing platform integrations.
