Writer, Threat Intelligence & Communications (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is New York City.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 total estimated compensation, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Develop threat intelligence advisories, threat briefs, deep-dive research reports, executive summaries, blogs, and social content.
• Translate IOCs, TTPs, exposures, vulnerabilities, and emerging attack trends into clear narratives for technical and executive audiences.
• Track the threat landscape and pitch timely content related to active campaigns, disclosures, and geopolitical events.
• Develop webinar programs, propose topics and talking points, and manage post-production.
• Coordinate content distribution with marketing teams and maintain the publication calendar.
• Manage reviews, fact-checking, editing, and adherence to brand style standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience writing and producing content in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, technical fields, journalism, PR, or communications.
• A portfolio demonstrating technical depth and clarity for both executive and practitioner audiences.
• Working fluency in the threat landscape, including threat actors, malware, vulnerabilities, MITRE ATT&CK, and attack patterns, or strong communications expertise with the ability to learn technical subjects quickly.
• Strong editing, interviewing, self-editing, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical subject-matter experts and manage rapid iterations and shifting priorities.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience producing or managing webinar programs.
• Experience with multimedia content creation and executive communications programs.
• Comfort querying datasets with SQL, Python, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with security ratings, attack surface management, and third-party or supply-chain risk.
