Account Executive, Public Relations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid for candidates within commuting distance of the San Francisco, CA or New York, NY offices, with three in-office days per week. Fully remote work is available only to candidates residing in the listed states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $54,000–$72,000 per year, with the final offer based on education, experience, skills, training, internal equity, and local market data.

What you will do

• Support cybersecurity PR programs across media relations, analyst engagement, speaking opportunities, content, and client communications.
• Research reporters, build media lists, develop targeted pitches, and monitor cybersecurity news and media trends.
• Draft and edit press releases, commentary, award submissions, speaking abstracts, blog posts, briefing documents, and talking points.
• Translate technical cybersecurity topics into clear and engaging stories for media and business audiences.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, internal communications, client updates, coverage reports, and campaign planning.
• Track media coverage and campaign results while collaborating with digital, content, and design teams.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of PR or communications experience in an agency setting.
• Experience working with cybersecurity clients.
• Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into relatable stories.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Residence in one of the listed US states is required at the time of hire; hybrid candidates must be within commuting distance of San Francisco or New York.

• Familiarity with analytics or media tracking tools.
