What you will do

• Manage client relationships for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and serve as the primary point of contact.
• Oversee financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and accounting deliverables.
• Coordinate domicile regulatory filings, annual reports, premium tax filings, statutory reporting, and NAIC-related filings.
• Manage annual financial statement audits and regulatory examinations, including documentation and issue resolution.
• Lead client and board meetings and communicate financial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Mentor junior staff, review work product, and support technical training and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, captive management, or insurance accounting experience.
• Captive insurance experience is required.
• Experience with insurance accounting, regulatory reporting, audits, examinations, and client account management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory insurance accounting principles.
• Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
