Software Engineer - Vice President (AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; office-based Monday–Thursday with remote work available on Friday.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based services and APIs.
• Translate product and business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Own projects from technical design through production rollout and ongoing support.
• Write maintainable code, contribute to design decisions, and participate in code reviews.
• Build testing, observability, security, and operational readiness into services.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for delivery, investigation, learning, and quality validation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with a modern programming language such as Ruby, Scala, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience building or integrating with APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with automated testing, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Understanding of cloud application development and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
