Staff Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 USD base salary, with potential bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.

What you will do

• Provide engineering analysis and design support for power supply agreements, AI/GPU load strategy, or substation and grid engineering.
• Support load flow, short-circuit, reliability, and related power system studies.
• Prepare technical documentation for negotiations, design decisions, and strategy recommendations.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Development, and Construction on technical project requirements.
• Visit sites to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and design clarifications.
• Develop and review technical scopes for behind-the-meter, islanded, and grid-connected power systems, including generation, UPS, BESS, and microgrid integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in power systems engineering, utility engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting technical requirements, tariffs, or system studies.
• Ability to produce or review one-line diagrams and support load flow, short-circuit, and reliability studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or large industrial power infrastructure.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with on-site power generation, generator OEMs, EPCs, or commissioning providers.
