Electrical Superintendent (AI Data Centers)

Location: Houston, Texas; on-site with long-term travel and short-term relocation required. Expect 3–6 month periods at each project location before moving to the next.

What you will do

• Lead electrical subcontractors and provide technical, scheduling, and safety direction.
• Own data center electrical systems from conceptual design and load planning through installation, commissioning, and operations.
• Inspect critical installations, including terminations, connections, panel work, torqueing, labeling, routing, and code compliance.
• Ensure work meets NEC, local codes, project specifications, and safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve field issues and correct deficiencies before energization.
• Maintain inspection, punch-list, RFI, as-built, quality-control, and commissioning handoff documentation.

Requirements

• Active Master Electrician license or equivalent state certification.
• 8–15+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Deep knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from design through commissioning and managing contractors and vendors.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NETA, and applicable local codes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Nice to have

• Experience in hyperscale or colocation data centers with 10+ MW capacity.
• Experience in high-reliability environments such as data centers, energy, industrial, or oil and gas.
• QA/QC or commissioning experience.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
