What you will do

• Build and deploy agentic systems from scratch for internal teams focusing on risk, fraud, and collections.
• Architect systems centered on reasoning, planning, tool use, and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop safe tool-use infrastructure including permissioning, sandboxing, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.
• Implement rigorous evaluation frameworks, observability, and tracing to ensure system reliability.
• Manage multi-model inference (text, voice, code, vision) with a focus on latency, throughput, and cost.
• Set technical standards for agentic systems and mentor engineers while partnering with ML and security teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years specializing in AI systems or LLM applications.
• Proficiency in Python and production experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of LLM agent architectures such as ReAct, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Knowledge of agentic security risks, including prompt injection and data leakage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Toronto, Canada

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems in regulated industries like fintech, payments, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of Cloud AI/ML services such as AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, or Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with model serving (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, Triton) or fine-tuning techniques (LoRA).
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal, Airflow, or Prefect.
