What you will do

• Develop and maintain EHS programs including hazardous materials handling and emergency response plans.
• Conduct incident investigations and perform root cause analysis for safety-related events.
• Perform inspections and tests to monitor pollution sources and control pollutants in air, soil, and water.
• Partner with facilities and laboratory teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Instruct employees on occupational health, accident prevention, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Consult on site-wide continuous improvement and 5S activities.

Requirements

• University Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or Engineering.
• Minimum 1+ years of directly related experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Northbrook, IL.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking on concrete, and lifting up to 30lbs.
• Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE as required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10-15% for audits and investigations.
