Salary: $209,780 - $356,630 USD

What you will do
- Lead legal support for product development, intellectual property portfolios, and global data privacy.
- Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure innovative and compliant offerings.
- Manage global IP portfolios, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Lead global privacy programs ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other data protection laws.
- Translate legal requirements into actionable strategies that support business goals.
- Manage outside counsel and legal budgets to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house counsel experience at a SaaS or technology company.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
- Active bar membership in the jurisdiction where the position is based or eligibility for in-house counsel registration.
- Deep knowledge of intellectual property law and global privacy law (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
- Proven experience as a trusted advisor to product and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and AI governance.
- Knowledge of open-source software licensing.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/E.
- Passion for the intersection of law and technology.
