Salary: $145,000–$185,000 annually

What you will do
- Design and specify software for LifeVest systems, utilities, modules, components, and subsystems.
- Make system-level architecture and complex design decisions for embedded medical devices.
- Lead and technically supervise a small team of engineers while providing guidance across departments.
- Plan project scope, resources, schedules, and risk-mitigation activities for complex engineering work.
- Conduct root-cause failure analysis, design studies, debugging, and sustaining engineering activities.
- Develop and maintain software documentation and support product development through testing and release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 20+ years of related experience and 10+ years of experience with C or C++.
- Experience leading a small team of 3–4 engineers.
- Advanced proficiency in complex software design, troubleshooting, testing, and embedded Linux development.
- Knowledge of microprocessor architectures, preferably ARM, in-circuit emulators, electrical troubleshooting, and systems engineering processes.
- Experience with unit testing, test automation, engineering laboratory equipment, and IEC medical software or comparable quality standards.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in computer or electrical engineering.
- Experience with project management, systems engineering, medical devices, or handheld and wearable products.
- Experience with C++ and embedded user interface design.
