Salary: $148,000 – $249,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Implement safety-critical embedded software for truck control functions, including engine, steering, and braking.
• Integrate sensors and vehicle actuation feedback with localization and control systems for redundant safety.
• Collaborate with hardware, safety, and systems teams on the design, build, and validation of reliable systems.
• Develop robust, reusable code according to industry-best practices for safe and reliable software.
• Support the bring-up and operation of the autonomous platform both remotely and on-site.
• Implement low-level functions necessary for success in the autonomous vehicle field.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Deep experience with Rust (primary), C, or C++.
• Proficiency with low-level ARM microcontrollers and processors (including RTOS).
• Experience working on safety-critical, high-reliability software projects following industry safety standards.
• Ability to use hardware diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes.
• Must be able to work onsite 3-5 days per week in Toronto, San Francisco, or Pittsburgh.
