Senior Instructional Designer (AI)

TL;DR

Senior Instructional Designer (AI): Designing and scaling customer education experiences for an AI video platform with an accent on needs analysis and agentic AI workflows. Focus on bridging the gap between complex product concepts and outcome-driven learning and representing the company at major industry conferences.

Location: Must be based in or relocating to New York City or Austin (Hybrid: ~2 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive discovery and needs analysis using customer and product data to identify learning gaps.
• Design outcome-driven courses, certifications, and learning paths grounded in strong instructional design principles.
• Produce high-fidelity design blueprints, including storyboards, learning objectives, and assessment strategies.
• Build and optimize multi-step agentic AI workflows to accelerate the content production pipeline.
• Facilitate live customer workshops and serve as a speaker at major L&D and AI conferences in North America.
• Analyze engagement and qualitative data to iteratively retire or rebuild content.

Requirements

• Proven senior-level instructional design experience with deep expertise in needs analysis.
• Must be based in or relocating to New York or Austin.
• Demonstrable experience in public speaking and facilitating sessions for large audiences.
• Hands-on experience building and iterating on agentic or multi-step AI workflows.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Support teams.
• Proficiency in using a customer-facing LMS or CMS.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French, German, or Spanish.
• Experience creating learning content with Synthesia or other video-based tools.
• A track record of published talks, articles, or a strong community presence in L&D.
• Experience in assessment and certification design.
