Product Owner - AEC Data

Location: AMER - Canada - Ontario - Offsite/Home

Salary: CAD 104,000–151,800 per year base salary, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver information requirements capabilities for built assets across the lifecycle, from concept through operations.
• Work directly with customers to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize the product backlog and align sprint planning with product strategy, release goals, and the roadmap.
• Translate complex requirements into well-scoped work items with designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Own backlog refinement and sprint readiness while coordinating priorities, scope, dependencies, and blockers.
• Use telemetry, analytics, and customer feedback to monitor delivery outcomes and drive iteration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership or a closely related product delivery role in Agile software development environments.
• Knowledge of the AEC industry, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), design, asset data, and lifecycle workflows.
• Experience managing or prioritizing product backlogs, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and partnering with engineering teams through delivery.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software product development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions and using Jira and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data management and governance principles, including metadata and information governance.
• Experience in matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority.
• Experience with platform- or API-first product development.
• Experience delivering scalable SaaS or platform capabilities through customer feedback, telemetry, and iterative delivery.
