Product Owner (U.S. Air Force Big Data)

Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, TX, US; customer-site work required 2–3 days per week. Travel up to 25% is required, including CONUS travel and OCONUS travel as necessary.

Salary: $115,716–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead analytics and application development supporting U.S. Air Force operations and integrate production capabilities into customer workflows.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Air Force operational Big Data Platform capabilities, provide technical user support, and operationalize applications.
• Gather software requirements, create development roadmaps, answer user questions, and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Coordinate DevSecOps delivery with development and engineering teams and guide customer acceptance of updates, features, and capabilities.
• Build government-customer relationships, provide leadership updates, support customer adoption, and identify future market opportunities.
• Collaborate with customer experience, marketing, engineering, solution partners, and providers on operational and business development plans.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Relevant experience is required: 9+ years in DoD cyber, agile development, and/or big data with a bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or a related field; or 7 years with a related master's degree; or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior government or military experience with MARFORCYBER, DCSA, DISA, Army Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, U.S. Air Force/AFCYBER, or 10th Fleet/Navy Cyber is required.
• Experience managing complex technical projects or programs; understanding of budget practices and acquisition shops, or relationships with relevant personnel.
• Strength in customer engagement, product adoption, customer buy-in, interviewing, active listening, empathy, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Participation in the full business-development lifecycle, including proposal support, staffing, opportunity identification, bid/no-bid analysis, RFI responses, and market responses.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapt to schedule changes, and work on the customer site in San Antonio 2–3 days per week.
• Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire and travel up to 25%, sometimes on short notice; OCONUS travel may be required.

Nice to have

• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications, as directed by the customer.
• Experience with software engineering, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Technical background sufficient to determine system requirements and collaborate with engineering and management on design and estimating.
• Previous Big Data Platform experience.
