What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and system design for backend distributed systems and frontends.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to execute established plans.
• Manage daily tasks and operations while aligning with the team's long-term strategic objectives.
• Enhance the developer experience by focusing on performance, reliability, and ease of use.
• Identify challenges and remove obstacles in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of overall software engineering experience, with 3–5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in backend and platform fundamentals with the ability to operate at a code-level.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex distributed systems.
• Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience working on developer tools, internal platforms, or productivity systems.
• Must be based in or able to work in Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and React Native.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven workflows or developer tooling.
• Experience with C#, .NET, Rust, or C++.
• Background in performance profiling and developer ecosystems.
