Senior Technical Program Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote, Brazil. Remote work does not require proximity to a hirify.global office, but scheduled office attendance may be required with notice.

What you will do

• Lead complex, multi-team programs across core banking, card issuing, ledgers, authorization, settlement, disputes, fraud, and payment processing.
• Drive strategic initiatives from concept through production rollout, maintaining plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success criteria.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams to evaluate technical designs, architecture trade-offs, scalability, security, resiliency, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate Product Management, Engineering, SRE, Architecture, Client Delivery, Compliance, and Operations teams to resolve dependencies and prepare releases.
• Support strategic initiatives for financial institutions and enterprise clients, including platform migrations and major production launches.
• Lead risk management, issue resolution, escalation processes, metrics, and reporting to improve delivery predictability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• 8+ years of technical program management, engineering management, or software delivery leadership experience.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Experience with global distributed engineering teams and highly regulated financial environments.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Jira, Confluence, and program management tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems, public cloud platforms, CI/CD, resiliency, disaster recovery, and non-functional requirements.

• Background in software engineering, computer science, or systems architecture.
• Experience supporting Tier-1 banks, payment processors, or global fintech platforms.
• Experience influencing outcomes without direct authority and presenting to executive stakeholders.
