TL;DR

Manager, Academic and Clinical Affairs (Academic and Clinical Administration): Managing academic and clinical operations, governance processes, faculty appointments, events, and strategic projects for a public health school with an accent on stakeholder engagement, policy implementation, and confidential faculty affairs. Focus on coordinating complex committees, improving appointment and payment systems, resolving operational issues, and supporting public health initiatives across internal and external partnerships.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada. The office is located in the School of Population and Public Health building at the hirify.global Point Grey campus.

Salary: CAD 5,964.75–8,573.08 per month.

What you will do

  • Manage academic and clinical operational functions for two Associate Director portfolios.
  • Lead academic, clinical, governance, and special projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
  • Coordinate Clinical Appointment, Reappointment and Promotion committee processes, honorary appointments, and related documentation.
  • Oversee clinical faculty payment procedures, appointment records, and administrative systems.
  • Plan and deliver school-wide events, workshops, and symposia, including budgets and resource allocation.
  • Work with HR, Finance, IT, Communications, faculty, government representatives, healthcare leaders, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing projects, priorities, deadlines, and changing conditions in a complex organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with exceptional tact, discretion, integrity, and judgment.
  • Strong written, oral communication, public relations, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, coach, evaluate, and support administrative staff and student workers.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

  • Senior-level administrative or executive support experience in a large organization.
  • Human resources experience and knowledge of university or Faculty of Medicine policies and governance.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and videoconferencing tools.
  • Experience with survey and polling applications such as Qualtrics or Doodle.
