What you will do

• Support the Chief Risk Officer in developing and embedding the enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework and proactive risk culture.
• Lead the annual Lloyd’s syndicate ORSA process, coordinating input from actuarial, capital, underwriting, finance, exposure management, and operations teams.
• Own the internal model validation plan and provide second-line oversight of modelling, assumptions, limitations, outputs, and governance reporting.
• Enhance the risk and control self-assessment and risk event frameworks, including escalation, reporting, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead targeted deep dives, thematic reviews, and second-line assurance activity across operational, underwriting, regulatory, and emerging risks.
• Provide constructive, commercially aware challenge and advice to senior management, first-line teams, committees, and the Board.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in the insurance sector, preferably within the Lloyd’s or London Market.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, ORSA, risk appetite, RCSA, risk event management, and governance reporting.
• Experience with internal model governance, validation, capital model oversight, or Solvency UK and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of operational risk, underwriting risk, control environments, and second-line oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across underwriting, actuarial, capital, operations, finance, claims, and exposure management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
